Through a degree in archaeology and a Masters in Experimental Archaeology, Dave has studied how relics were made and used, helping him build upon over decade of knife making experience. He counts himself lucky to live within the bounds of Dartmoor National Park, in one of the most beautiful parts of the world, crafting tools for the local craftspeople and the knives that he has always wanted to make. He also runs short courses in knife making and ‘primitive’ technology, all based on British archaeological remains (so keeping it British, there’s no bamboo or Maya sticks on his courses!) |
